DR ROBERT MARTIN
BSc (Hons), MBChB, DFFP, DRCOG, MRCGP, FRACGP
Rob graduated in Medicine from Glasgow University, Scotland in 1990. During his medical degree he also had the opportunity to study tropical medicine and graduated Bachelor of Science with First Class Honours in 1987. Rob’s first Practice was as a single-handed GP in his home area at the Mull of Kintyre on the west coast of Scotland. He then moved to a large practice in Northamptonshire, England where he qualified as a GP Supervisor, training doctors to be GPs, and became a Programme Director (Medical Educator) for GP training. He was also a GP Appraiser. Rob brought his family to Port Stephens in November 2010 and joined Shoal Bay as a Partner in 2012.
His special medical interests include Chronic Disease Management (asthma & diabetes), Children & the Elderly and Teaching & Training.
