Welcome to 2020, a new decade and a great opportunity to get on top of your health and wellness this year.

We have put together a list of 5 super simple health resolutions that are easy to follow and stick to and will hopefully ensure that 2020 will be your best year yet!

  1. Book a skin check
    With approximately, two in three Australians being diagnosed with skin cancer by the time they are 70, regular skin checks with your doctor is crucial to ensure early detection. With this summer being particularly harsh, also remember to be sun smart and always slip, slop, slap.
  1. Take time for you
    This can sometimes be easier said than done, especially when busy family lives are involved. But it is critical to take time out for you and don’t feel guilty about it. If you make the time to care for yourself then in turn you will be able to care for others.
  1. Spend time with loved ones
    Being with others is important for a balanced and happy life. It promotes better health and it doesn’t cost anything.
  1. Drink water
    Drinking water and keeping well hydrated has many health benefits. It promotes cardiovascular health, keeps muscles and joints working, and helps cleanse toxins from your body. Staying hydrated also helps balance your blood sugar, helps relieve headaches, and promotes healthy skin. So drink up!
  1. See your GP regularly
    Get to know your doctor and ensure that you keep up to date with relevant health checks and immunisations etc. Your GP is there to support your health and wellness journey, so be sure to use them.
